To Whom It May Concern,
I am Mr. XXX’s teacher of Digital Circuit and Probability Theory & Mathematical Statistics across the two semesters of his sophomore year. During my classes, his earnest attitude toward study and high efficiency has impressed me deeply. At the request of Mr. XXX, I write this reference letter in support of his application for your graduate program in Electronic Engineering.
The course Digital Circuit mainly concerns about the fundamental analysis and design methods of digital circuits. The most important thing is that students have to do lots of experiments to intensify their understanding. Though he may be careless to make some mistakes sometimes, he can quickly adjust to the right. I know that Mr. XXX usually prepared the experiment well before the class, so he could ask me some questions in the class and finish experiment of each class very quickly. Most importantly, he always wrote very good report after the experiment. Besides, when I am pleased to see his curiosity towards academic study and believe that he has benefited a lot from this curious spirit.
When it comes to Probability Theory & Mathematical Statistics, he didn’t pay much attention at first, thinking that it was useless for his major. After a serious conversation, I can tell that he has understood the importance of the course, and began to work hard on it. On the course, students will come across some mathematical models, and then, learn lot’s of formula to solve engineering problems. While many of his classmates felt frustrated and fell behind others since then, Mr. XXX persevered. After thorough research and consulting to me, he has mastered these analysis methods and laid a solid foundation for his future study. As far as I am concerned, such assiduousness and patience are indispensable qualities of a graduate student.
Combined with Mr. XXX’s high quality assignments and excellent performance in the class, Mr. XXX has gotten A in my two courses. Based on my understanding of Mr. XXX, he has shown me great potential for future academic study. If you are looking for a master candidate with strong academic background and distinct analytical ability, he is just the right one.
